DATO' HJ. ABDUL MAJID HJ NAZARDIN DIMP.,PPT.

Dato’ Hj. Abdul Majid Hj. Nazardin received his primary education at the Anglo Chinese School, Klang and completed his secondary education at St. John’s Institution, Kuala Lumpur.  In 1971 he joined the Royal Malaysian Police Force as an Inspector.  In 1977, he left for England on leave from the police department to further his studies in law. Dato’ obtained the following qualifications:  B.A. Law (Hons) United Kingdom in June 1980 and Barrister-at-Law (Lincoln’s Inn) United Kingdom in 1981.  On returning to Malaysia, he resumed his service with the police force.  Dato’ was appointed acting Assistant Superintendent of Police and was posted to the police headquarters at Bukit Aman, Kuala Lumpur.  In January 1982, he resigned from the police force to read in the chambers of Mr Jeffrey Fernandez of Messrs Fernandez & Co., Klang.  On his admission to the Malaysian Bar on 23 October 1982, he practised as a legal assistant in the firm of Messrs Yacob, Woon & Rakan-Rakan, Klang where he remained until he founded Majid & Partners on 1 December 1982. In keeping with changing times, Majid & Partners became Majid & Chen.  Dato’s involvement in the practice of law includes corporate advisory, banking, conveyancing, litigation, housing and commercial development projects.
KENNY TEH KAI LOON
          
Mr Kenny Teh received his education at La Salle, Klang and Mazenod College, Melbourne Australia.  He graduated from Monash University, Melbourne, with Bachelor of Commerce (BCom.) (major in Accounting) and Bachelor of Laws (LLB). Mr Teh served as a volunteer student solicitor at a community legal centre, Springvale Legal Service Inc, while studying law at Monash. He returned to Malaysia in 1997 and chambered at Messrs Ng Yook Woon, Andrew T.C. Saw & Company in their Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya branches and was called to the Bar on 14th March 1998. Mr Teh practised at the same legal firm before joining Messrs Majid & Chen in 1999.  Mr Teh became a partner in our firm in 2001 and currently manages our Klang office.  His involvement in the practice of law includes corporation law and commercial contracts, local and international joint ventures, capital raising (including initial public offers) and legal due diligence, banking and finance, property conveyancing, civil litigation, insolvency and housing and commercial development projects.
RACHEL YEO HONG LAN

Ms Rachel Yeo received her early education in Malacca and graduated from University of Malaya with LL.B. Hons (2nd Upper).  She chambered at Messrs Nathan & Co in Johor in the 1980’s.  After her call to the Malaysian Bar on 14th April 1979, she practised at Messrs Chua Brothers & Co in Johor, Messrs Wong & Yeo in Johor, Messrs Dason & Co in Kuala Lumpur and Messrs Eng Lee & Co in Petaling Jaya.  She was also a law lecturer at Stamford College in Petaling Jaya for several years before returning to practice.  She joined Messrs Majid & Chen in 2001 at our Subang Jaya office and became a partner in our firm in 2003.  She is currently based in our Subang Jaya office and handles corporate and retail banking, property conveyancing and housing development projects.
JOANNE TAN MAY LING

Ms Joanne Tan received her education in Kuala Lumpur.  She graduated from the University of London with LL.B. (Hons) and completed the Certificate of Legal Practice examinations in 2000.  She read in the chambers of Messrs Majid & Chen and was called to the Bar on 16th August 2001.  She became a partner in our firm in 2004 and handles corporate and retail banking, property conveyancing, commercial and housing development projects and is based in our Kuala Lumpur office.
AZLIZA BINTI DATO' HJ ABDUL MAJID

Ms. Azliza Binti Dato’ Hj. Abdul Majid graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2005. Subsequently in September 2005, she proceeded to do the Certificate in Legal Practise course (CLP). Upon completing the CLP course, she then pursued the Bar Vocational Course in London in September 2006 and obtained the following qualification: Barrister-at-Law (Lincoln’s Inn) United Kingdom in 2007. She subsequently underwent pupilage in Messrs Skrine, Damansara Heights. She commenced legal practice with Messrs Majid & Chen after having been admitted to the Malaysian Bar in October 2008. She joined Messrs Majid & Chen in November 2008 and is currently based in our Subang Jaya Office and handles corporate, retail banking, property conveyancing, commercial and housing development projects.
